Maracaibo, Venezuela - It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Sensei, Zeuxis J. Martínez Quintero., who passed away on August 21, 2025, in Maracaibo, Venezuela. He is survived by his children Zeucis J. Martinez Jr, Ivette Moncus and Gabriela Y Pichardo.

Sensei Martínez was more than just a teacher; he was a pillar of strength, a source of unwavering wisdom, and a true father figure to many. He leaves behind an indelible legacy of discipline, courage, and compassion. As a distinguished trainer for the Venezuelan National Guard, Police, and Armed Forces, he dedicated his life to teaching martial arts and instilling values that extended far beyond the dojo.

He was the cherished father of Sensei Zeuxis Martinez Jr., and his love and guidance will continue to echo through the generations. The Christ Karate Do community is in mourning, but we find solace in remembering the immense love, sage advice, and powerful legacy he left behind.

Sensei Martínez taught us that karate is not merely about physical combat, but about building character, respect, and humility. He shaped not only our stances and our strikes but also our hearts and our minds. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in every student he ever taught, in every lesson he ever shared, and in the strength and integrity he helped us all discover within ourselves.
