Chatsworth, GA - Mrs. Wendy Sue Fletcher Hunt, age 62, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away on April 5, 2026. Born on June 8, 1963, Wendy was the daughter of J.C. and Judy Fletcher (deceased).

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Benjamin Hubert Hunt, whom she was devoted to until his passing in 2024. Wendy is survived by her son Connor Elrod and his wife Ashlyn, her sister Donna Fletcher, as well as her stepchildren Renee Hunt, Ben Hunt, and Chris Hunt. She was the proud grandmother of Baylor Elrod, Javid hunt, Rayden hunt, and Chloe Hunt, and cherished her extended family and many dear friends.

Wendy served her community with a true servant's heart as the Director of the Murray County Senior Center. She dedicated herself to enriching the lives of others—creating joyful activities such as karaoke days, monthly dinners and dances, themed celebrations, and day trips. Under her leadership, the Center became not just a place of activity but a family of friends.

Her compassion extended beyond her work. Wendy was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the American Legion in Chatsworth, where she volunteered her time, talents, and her gift as a wonderful cook. She was known for her creativity, generosity, and the joy she brought to those around her.

To know Wendy was to love her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and service that will forever be felt in her family, among her friends, and throughout the community she loved so deeply.

Special friends: Kelly and Michelle Thurman, Linda and Thurman Dean, Mickey and Renee Henderson, Ann Flood, and her devoted staff at the Murray County Senior Center.

Services:

A visitation and time of fellowship with family and friends will be held Friday, April 10, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Peeples Funeral Home of Chatsworth.
