Shirley Marie Buchan (1930 -2026)
Shirley Marie Buchan, of Chatsworth, GA, passed away peacefully at
Quinton Memorial Health and Rehabilitation on January 16, 2026,
surrounded by her family.
She was born in Fall River, Massachusetts, in 1930, the first of three
daughters, to George and Emily Holmes. She was married on May 14, 1955
to Bob Buchan, in Jacksonville Fl. They shared 57 beautiful years together
and were a fine example of lasting love for their family and friends. She
enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed
teaching the Bible to others and helping them come to know God. She will
be remembered for her steadfast faith and zealous spirit.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Bob; her
eldest son, Mark Buchan; and her sister, Merville Varga; and she is survived
by her children: Teri Blalock and her husband Arthur; Jonathan and his wife
Terri; and her sister, Phyllis Pangborn; 9 grandchildren, 7 great-
grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 2:00PM, at
the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 29 Sitton Rd N, Chatsworth GA
30705.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
