Roy Davenport Obituary
Chatsworth, Georgia - Mr. Roy Davenport, age 86, of Chatsworth, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loved ones.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Hurbert and Willie Davenport, brothers Curtis, Clarence, James, and Bobby Davenport, and sister Lois Mazie.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Mary Sitton Davenport; children and spouses, Allan and Stacey Davenport, Angela Amos ( Mitchell Stafford) Jeff and Krystal Davenport; grandchildren: Garrett and Jessica Matthews, Cody and Christina Davenport; Katie and Zach Sloan and Calen Amos; great grandchildren, Brentley, Brooke, Hudson, Harrison, and Easton; brother and sister in law, Raymond and Sonia Davenport.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you for the care given to Roy during his illness by Tapestry Hospice and Like Family Home Care.
A visitation to honor the life of Roy Davenport will be on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Shawn Chapman Funeral Home.
