Nannie Mae Atkinson, of Dalton, GA passed away November 8, 2024. She was born June 18, 1927. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Taylor and Nannie Atkinson; husband, James Atkinson; son, Lester Atkinson; daughters, Judy Thompson, Vickey Atkinson; grandson, Jeff Jones; granddaughter, August Blackwell.

She is survived by her sons, Larry (Crystal) Atkinson of Bedford Ky, Charles Rocky (Mary) Atkinson of Dalton, LeeRoy (Christy) Atkinson of Dalton, David (Angie) Atkinson of Dalton, Randy Atkinson of Dalton, Mickey (Kelley) Atkinson of Ooltewah TN; daughters, Doris (Lewis) Hobbs of Taylorsville, Martha (Kirby) King of Dalton, Linda (George) Earnest of Cohutta, Patsy (Bruce) Jones of Dalton, Renay Blackwell of Dalton; grandchildren, Johnny, Rickey, Terry Hobbs, Angie Barnes, Monica Hix, Conly King, Lakrista Atkinson, Shane Bennett, Ethan, Jake Albright, Melissa Henderson, Wendy Collins, Dustan, Derrick Atkinson, Daphne Blackwell; eleven great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; sister in law, Jeannette Fox of Cartersville; niece, Bobbie Howoway of Dalton and many more nieces and nephews..

A service will be held Monday, November 11, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastors, Jr. Clayton, LeeRoy Atkinson, Frank Cronan

Family will be receiving friends for visitation on Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M Interment will be at United Memorial Gardens.
