Mr. Jack Milburn Broadrick Obituary

Dalton, Georgia - Jack Milburn Broadrick, a devoted servant of God, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, went to meet Jesus on Friday, April 3, 2026, at the age of 91.

Jack was born on Wednesday, July 25, 1934, in Dalton, Georgia, to the late Mr. Glenn Broadrick and the late Mrs. Grace Curtis Broadrick.

Born and raised in Dalton, Georgia, Jack spent his entire life on Dug Gap Road, a place he held close to his heart. He was deeply proud of his roots in Dalton and of the family land on Dug Gap that has been passed down for over 100 years. That land was more than just property to Jack; it was a legacy, a source of joy, and a reflection of his hard work and dedication. Even in his later years, he continued to care for and tend to the land he loved so dearly, remaining faithful to it until the very end.

He lived a life rooted in faith, love, and service. He was the true definition of the hands and feet of Jesus, reflecting Christ in everything he did. His kindness, humility, and unwavering faith left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. To know Jack was to love him. Although he was quiet, soft-spoken, and gentle in nature, his words, however few they may have been, commanded the attention of everyone; when he spoke, everyone listened. He was a man who loved fiercely, and the love that he had for those in his life was unlike that of anyone else.

He was married to his high school sweetheart and best friend, Betty Jo Pinion Broadrick, for just shy of 71 beautiful years. Their marriage was a true testament of enduring love, faith, and commitment.

Jack loved his family more than life itself. If he could have lived forever just to be with them, he would have. His greatest joy was found in time spent with those he loved, whether working on his farm, relaxing at the lake house, or vacationing together. He especially loved being out on the water, and on the mountains, often saying, "A bad day skiing is better than a good day at work." While he appreciated the finer things in life, he worked hard for them, and he took pride in everything he did.

In addition to his parents, Glenn Broadrick and Grace Curtis Broadrick, Jack is preceded in death by his siblings, Irene Ford and Louise Hackney.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of nearly 71 years, Betty Jo Pinion Broadrick; his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Debbie Lee Broadrick; his grandchildren, Mayleah Broadrick, Marlee (Paul) Clemens, Mitchell (Taylor) Broadrick, and Mariel (Hayden) Lewis; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Hudson Calkins, Gracelee Clemens, Kashton Clemens, Jackson Briggs Clemens, Eloise Jo Clemens, Banks Clemens, Watson Jack Lewis, Olivia Lewis, Daphne Broadrick, and Tov Broadrick. He is further survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to honor and celebrate Jack's life will be conducted on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. in the Sanctuary of Dug Gap Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Duane Mills officiating. Jack will be laid to rest in the church's cemetery. Mitchell Broadrick, Paul Clemens, Geary Ford, Tommy Ford, Clay Hackney, Sam Hair, Paul Johnson, Hayden Lewis, Gary Patton, and Terry Stanfield will serve as pallbearers.

Friends are cordially invited to visit with Jack's family prior to the service from at 1:00 P.M. until the service hour.

Jack's legacy of faith, love, and service will live on through his family and all who were blessed to know him. While he will be deeply missed, we rejoice in knowing he is now home with his Savior, hearing the words, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
