Michael Bennett Sr., age 68, of Dalton, Ga. passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024. He was born November 8, 1955. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Rich Bennett; parents, Julian Bennett Sr. and Jewel Johnson Bennett; sister, LaRona Bennett Hughes.

He is survived by his fiancé, Debi Jackson Durham; sons, Michael Bennett Jr. (Stephanie), Jody Bennett (Michelle); mother of his children, Jane Bennett; brother, Jullian Bennett Jr. (Virginia Davis); grandchildren, Ellijah Bennett, Ethan Bennett, Aaron Bennett, Gabriel Baggett, Haley Baggett, Eli Baggett, Paul Baggett, Elizabeth Bennett, Allyson Adams (Dustin), Kyle Miles; brother in-law, Jerry Hughes; two nieces, Emily Justice, Deonna Crider; one nephew, Julian Bennett III; He was a active member of the Friendship Baptist Church.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Michael Bennett Sr. will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, September 20, 2024 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor John Souther officiating. Interment will be Center Valley Cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Dalton Funeral Home.
