Maurice Harmon Bailey
Mr. Maurice Harmon Bailey, better known as "Pete," 68, of Dalton, went home to be with the Lord Saturday morning, July 15, 2006 at the Hamilton Medical Center.
Mr. Bailey was born Sept. 15, 1937 in Whitfield County, a son of the late Harmon Bailey and Nina Jo King. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jerry King; and a sister, Wanda Louise Bailey. Mr. Bailey was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Dalton.
Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife, Jean Bailey of the residence; daughter, Cindy Storey of Eustis, Fla.; sons and daughters-in-law, Rayond and Linda Bailey of Naples, Fla., Jeffery Bailey of Detroit, Mich.; stepchildren, Jason and Brandie Cucksee of Dalton, Neal and Jennifer Cucksee and Chuck and Traci Price, all of Boulder, Colo.; sister, Joyce Keith of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; special friend, Raymond Harris of Dalton.
Services will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at 1 p.m. from the New Life Baptist Church with Brother Ricky Spence and Raymond English officiating. Interment will follow in the United Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, July 17 from 6 to 9 p.m.
