Margaret (Peggy) Stallings Campbell, 82, of Rocky Face, Georgia, passed away on March 8th, 2025. She was born in Thomaston, GA on March 28th, 1942. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Grant Stallings and Jimmie Ruth Canino, her husband John Campbell and infant daughter, Margaret Elizabeth Campbell.
She is survived by her sisters Suzanne Grogan of Bothell, WA, and Beth (Gary) Odom of Richmond Hill, GA, and her children, Carey (Darren) Harper of Yukon, OK, Christy (Bob) Watts of Chickamauga, GA and Carl (Kristy) Campbell of Chatsworth, GA, eight grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Peggy was a longtime member of Dug Gap Baptist church and then later First Baptist Church of Dalton. She dedicated her time and talents in different ministries of the church. Her passion was playing handbells. Peggy made it her mission to start a handbell ministry at Dug Gap Baptist. She played on occasion with First United Methodist, First Presbyterian Church and then later assisted the director of the children's handbell choir at First Baptist of Dalton.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14th, 2025 at Julian Peeples Funeral Home in Rocky Face, GA from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Peggy Campbell to the Boys and Girls Club of Northwest GA. The family is grateful for the love and care for the past several years from the staff at Royal Oaks/The Gardens in Dalton, personal care nurse Margeana Norris and the staff from Orchard Ridge Memory Care.
