Maida Geneva Bartlett Cobb, age 82, of Dalton, Ga. passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024. She was born January 4, 1942 to Fred and Ruby Bartlett. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Cobb; son, Mark Cobb; brothers Harvey Bartlett, Harold Bartlett, Harlan Bartlett.

After retiring from Griffith Labs, Maida loved to make a garden and grow beautiful flowers in her yard. She loved cooking and making big Sunday dinners for her family. She spent time with her nieces and nephews taking them to Six Flags, the zoo and swimming.

The family thanks Dalton Square Memory Care Unit for loving Maida and also to Amedisys Home Health for making her a queen every day.

She is survived by her daughter, Ginger Cobb Gilbert; sisters, Annette Curtis and her husband Larry, Sherry Stanley and her husband Perry; two granddaughters, Meridith Gilbert, Mackenize Gilbert Clack and her husband Dustin; grandson, Mitchell Gilbert and three great grandchildren, Paxton, Kynzlee and Hunter Clack; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Ms. Maida Geneva Bartlett Cobb will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Brother Howard Sorrows officiating.

The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Dalton Funeral Home.
