Tunnel Hill, Georgia - Lucille A. Bass, age 92 of Tunnel Hill, GA passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Lucille and her husband John were long-time residents of St. Anne, IL and active in St. Anne Catholic Church prior to relocating to Tunnel Hill, GA in 1985. Since John's passing in 1989, Lucille lived independently in the home she shared with him, working at the K-Mart in Dalton for over 30 years and well into her eighties. She forged a wide range of long-lasting relationships based on her smile, endearing demeanor, and engaging stories. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother with "both her hearts".

She was predeceased by her husband, John Brandon Bass; parents Goldie and William Ellsworth; and six brothers and sisters.

She is survived by daughter, Lisa Ann Bass Dees; son, Michael John Bass; grandchildren, Capprin, John and Bethany Bass, Eric and Christopher Dees; great-grandchild Isaac Dees; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass to celebrate the life of Lucille Amelia Bass will be held 1:00 pm Friday, June 6, 2025 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dalton with celebrant Father Refugio Melendez. The family will receive friends at the church immediately after the service.
