MR. LEANDER STENSON BONDS - Age 74, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, February 26, 2024. Mr. Bonds was born on July 8, 1949 to his late parents, Morris Bonds and Gladys Pardlow Bonds. He was preceded by his brother,Tommy Bonds, grandparents, Watson "Cleve" Pardlow and Lola Booker Pardlow. He was a member of Mountain Ridge Baptist Church and was a Retired United States Army Veteran as Sgt. (E-5). He graduated from Dalton High School Class of 1967 and attended Dalton College and West Georgia College.


Survivors are his loving wife, Shirley Tibbs Bonds; two sons, Rodney Bonds and Christopher Bonds; sister, Patricia (Willie) Almond; brother, Lamar (Linda) Bonds; aunt, Wilma Bonds; two uncles, Marion Pardlow, Clarence Bonds; father-in-law, Walter Watson; nieces, nephews; a host of cousins; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law; other relatives, and friends.


Homegoing Service will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 2:00 P. M. at Mt. Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, 1401 Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Dalton, Georgia 30721 with Dr. Jerry Jones as Eulogist. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Saturday after 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday one hour before the service. Interment, West Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
