Chatsworth, GA - Mr. Larry Steven "Skip" Crane, age 80, of Chatsworth passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025, after a lengthy illness, to begin his eternal life.

Steve "Skip" Crane was born on July 27,1945, in Holcomb, MO, to the late Rev. Junior Crane and Mary Provance Crane.

He is survived by his wife, Luann Crane; son, Larry Crane (Missy) of Roswell, GA; stepson, Jeffrey Hardwick of Ashburn, VA; stepdaughter, Megan Childress (Blake) of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Benjamin and Owen Hardwick and Presley and Isaiah Childress; brothers, Ranny Crane (Vickie) of Kennett, MO, and Frank Crane (Pam) of Fredericktown, MO; sisters, Joslyn Payne and Carolyn Elder (Rob) of Greenville, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jerry, Lanny, and Marc Crane; and sisters, Susie Crane, Anna White, and Mary Ella Hopper.

The family would like to thank Heartlite Hospice, especially Shelly and Melissa, for the compassionate care they gave.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Crafton Dover and Rev. Scott Crane officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
