Chatsworth, GA - Mr. Larry Herbert Daniel, age 85, passed away peacefully at his home in Chatsworth, Georgia, on October 14 from ongoing complications of Parkinson's Disease.

Larry was born on November 19, 1938 in Calhoun, GA, and had been a resident of Chatsworth since 1964. He attended Reinhardt College and graduated from LaGrange College with a degree in Business Administration. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Chatsworth and of the Chatsworth Lions Club. He was an avid fisherman and golfer, and a great friend to all. During his years of employment he was associated with Crown Crafts, Federal Land Bank (AgCredit), and Reba Daniel State Farm Agency.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Herbert Alton (H.A.) Daniel and Lena Fannie Keith Daniel; brothers, Jerry Reid Daniel, Mickey Van Daniel, and Donald Hayes Daniel; father and mother-in-law, Clarence O'Neal and Bunie Talley Smith; sisters-in-law, Roberta Dickinson Daniel, Joanne Gilreath Daniel, and Marjorie Black Daniel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Reba Smith Daniel; brother, Arleigh Keith Daniel; sisters and brother-in-law, Louneal Smith Burdett, Talitha Smith Pettepher and Richard Stanley Pettepher, and Roxanne Sullivan Daniel; nephews, Michael D. (Mike) Daniel (Elyse), W. Craig Daniel (JoAnn), Patrick Daniel, Dee E. Burdette (Lori), and Dale J. Burdette (Theresa); niece, Latricia (Tricia) Poindexter; great nephews, Jacob Daniel (Kelly), Joshua Daniel (Delaney), Jared Daniel (Emma), Bo Burdett, and Barrett Burdett; great nieces, Jessie Huffman (Jacob) and Jolie Burdette; and several great-greats.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Larry Herbert Daniel will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Chatsworth located at 121 W Market St, Chatsworth, GA 30705 with Rev. Randy Ellis and Rev. George Ross officiating. Interment will follow at Chatsworth Heights Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation at First Baptist Church of Chatsworth on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church of Chatsworth (121 W Market St, Chatsworth, GA 30705) or to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
