Dalton, Georgia - Johnathan Blackwell, age 33, of Dalton, passed away Monday, April 13, 2026.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugene and Lounette Robertson, and Doyle Blackwell.

Johnathan loved hunting, fishing, and anything to do with the outdoors. He had a heart of gold and would give his last dollar to help anyone in need. Johnathan loved his family very much and would do anything for them.

He is survived by his fiancée, Kicia Silvey; son, Greyson Vanover; daughters, Paisley Blackwell, Marilee Blackwell, and Ryleigh Goswick; father, Tony Blackwell; mother and stepfather, Teresa and Jackie Hammontree; sisters and brother-in-law, Mia Hammontree, and Kayla and Jeremiah Shell; brother and sister-in-law, Zack and Kenzie Blackwell; special cousins, Ryan Sewell and Stephanie Cox; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Kelly Ridings and Rev. Ronald Guffey officiating and Bobby Blackwell Jr., Ryan Sewell, Luke Cox, Taylor Moore, Andrew Shipman, and Brandon Silvey serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the service hour of 3:00 PM.

Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
