John Marvin 'J.M.' Smithc Obituary
Mr. John Marvin "J.M." Smith of Chatsworth, 77, went to be with the Lord Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, at Wood Dale Health Care Center.
Mr. Smith was a deacon at Mountain View Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Alfred and Gertrude Smith; a brother, Edward Smith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Geneva Smith; children and spouses, Marshall and Angie Smith, Debbie and Steve Curtis, all of Chatsworth, Chad and Jenny Smith of Adairsville; grandchildren, Stephanie, Niki, Cody, Kolby, Mandy, Jeremy, Jessica, Meghan, Katie and Lauren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Jackson; two brothers, T.J. Smith of Chatsworth and Doug Smith of Resaca; several nieces and nephews.
Services are Monday at 4 p.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church with the Rev. Lamar Beason and the Rev. Randy Jackson officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1 to 9 p.m.
