Dalton, Georgia - Joann Wyrick Guthrie, 83, of Dalton passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mattie Burger; first husband, John Wyrick; second husband, Rufus Guthrie; daughter, Tonya Bakker; sister, Hazel Stafford.
Joann is survived by her children, Katherine Wyrick Nelson (Bradley), and John Tracy Wyrick (Pam); son-in-law, Hans Bakker; grandchildren, Matthew Bramblett, John Wyrick, Rachel Bakker, Chip Young, Hunter Nelson, Emma Bakker, Wesley Wyrick and Brock Nelson; 7 great-grandchildren; dear friend, Cortney Rucker.
Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Saturday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Sneed Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 until 12. Joann will be laid to rest in West Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
