Daton, Georgai - Jimmy Anderson Moss age 91, of Dalton, GA, passed away on Sunday,

August 31, 2025.

Jim was born in Dalton, GA, on August 23, 1934, the son of the late W.C.

and Lottie Anderson Moss. He proudly served in the United States Army.

Jim was the first Human Resources Director at Coronet Industries and held

that job until his retirement after almost thirty years. He was a charter

member of Trinity United Methodist Church and currently a member of

Dalton First United Methodist Church. Jim was a member of various clubs

over the years holding many local as well as state offices. He was an avid

golfer and enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in

death by his sister, Yvonne Moss Parks (Pete).

Survivors include his wife, Sherry Davis Parrott Moss; step daughter, Ashley

Parrott Stroud (Jeromy); step son, Rhett Manton Parrott (Olivia);

grandchildren, Kennedy Stroud, Eliza Grace Parrott and Glen Manton

"Manny" Parrott; nephew, Ike Parks (Renea); niece, Beckie West (Bill);

great-nephew, Gray West; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews;

special cousins, Johnny Brock and Scott Fowler; and his beloved dog,

Maggie Mae.

A Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 2:00 P.M.,

Chapel of the Dalton Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Willingham officiating

and military honors. A private interment will be at Whitfield Memorial

Gardens.

Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until the service hour at Dalton

Funeral Home.
