Helen M. Fowler, age 74 of Dalton went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 30th 2020 in Advent Gordon Hospital.
She was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church, a 1964 graduate of Calhoun High School and an avid member of the Friends of Fort Mountain. Her hobbies were quilting, bookkeeping, and playing cards.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, David Smithey and Raymond "Frog" Fowler; and parents, J.D. and Fannie Massengill.
She is survived by her children, Tony Smithey of Marietta, Georgia and Myra Sloan of Cincinnati, Ohio; step-children and spouses, Jeanene Fowler and Dan Mason of Atlanta, Georgia, GiGi and Paul Dykes of, Jeff and Rene' Fowler of Cartersville, Georgia; grandchildren, Taylor Sloan and Maggie Sloan and their father Shane Sloan all of Knoxville, Tennessee; Jennifer Dykes, Jordan and Taylor Dykes; Tyler Fowler, Jacob Fowler and Kayleigh Fowler of Cartersville, Georgia; sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara Gravitt, Frances and William Smith of Hill City, Georgia; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service To celebrate the life of Helen Fowler will be 1:00 pm Saturday, January 16th 2021 at Grove Level Baptist Church with Dr. Charlie Bridges officiating.
