Chatsworth, GA - Mrs. Faye Bowers Hawkins, age 71, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away on March 22, 2026. She was born on August 1, 1954, in Blairsville, Georgia, the daughter of Tommy J. and Gennevieve Burnette Bowers. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister - Joyce, and three brothers - Ed, Odell and Ray Bowers. Also preceding her is her loving husband of 46 years, Ronnie Hawkins and their oldest son, Shay Hawkins.

Faye is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Cory and Sandi Hawkins, of Chatsworth, GA., and Daughter-in-law, Dalea Hawkins of Calhoun, GA. She was Nana to five grandchildren: Aiden, Zander, Suzanna, Graciana and Samuel Hawkins. She is also survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Carol Bowers, of Gainesville, GA., sister-in-law, Ella Jo Bowers, of Chatsworth, GA., and brother-in-law Steve Hawkins, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

While enjoying her earthly life as a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished Nana Faye to her grandchildren, she had a servant's heart and loved helping others in any way she could. She believed that kindness always mattered and had a smile for everyone she met. She loved reading, photography, and working with flowers. Faye was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she previously served as secretary, treasurer, and young children's teacher. She was also a frequent visitor at Holly Creek Baptist Church (where immediate family members attend) and loved one and all. She was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America, as well as the Northwest Georgia Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America, where she served in the roles of Publicity Correspondent and Historian. She was also a member of the Certified Professional Secretary Association (CPS) since 1991.

Faye leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter; and, prayer that everyone accepts Jesus as their one and only Savior. She will be remembered for the love that she brought to everyone she touched during her lifetime.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Peeples Funeral Home of Chatsworth from 5 p.m.- 9 p.m., and again on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.

The funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Hwy 225 N., Chatsworth, GA. Officiating will be pastors Will Linginfelter and Ronnie Smith with burial to follow immediately in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Kevin Brown, Charles Davis, Nathan Hawkins, Chris Jordan, Keith Bonds, and Leslie Groves. Honorary pallbearers are: Steve Hawkins and Frank Hurst.
