Eufa Jeannette Brown passed February 17, 2022. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 17, 1924 to Earl and Estella Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband John Timmons who died serving his country at Manilla Bay during the early days of World War II and her second husband, Army Air Corps veteran James Milton Brown, whom she met and married just after the end of the war. Also preceding her in death are her sisters, Earline Fell and Jackie Leach and her brother Billy Davis.
She is survived by two sons, James Michael (Priscilla) Brown of Dalton and Timothy Mitchell Brown (former wife Dede) of Houston, Texas; grandchildren Ashley (Mark) Callahan, Trevor (Alys) Brown, Carson (Rudy) Weber, Katherine (Brett) Mach and Timothy Warner (Nicole) Brown. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren Copper, Arrow, Sydney, Juliet, Reese, Andrew, Rachel, Hunter, Margaret and John.
Known in her youth as "Jiggs"; the dancing and singing never stopped. During WWII she worked as a welder, 50 ft. up on a drydock in Everett, Washington. After the war she lived in Smyrna, Georgia, was a stay-at-home mom during her sons' upbringing and became a dental hygienist to help pay for their college and continued that profession until her husband's death in 1987. She moved to Dalton in 1988.
In Dalton she volunteered at Hamilton Medical Center and the Creative Arts Guild for over 25 years. She enjoyed her hobby as an artist, painting many works for friends and family. She was an extraordinary, hands-on Granny to her grandchildren and "GG" to many of her great-grandchildren. She was a conservative Presbyterian believer, continually studying and reading her many Bibles.
Her last years were spent challenging the staffs at Royal Oaks, The Gardens and Regency Park. A loving mother and mother-in-law, she laughed as long as she lived and earned a gasp or a smile from all whom she encountered.
Memorials may be made in her honor to the Creative Arts Guild, 520 W. Waugh Street, Dalton, Georgia. A Memorial Service celebrating her joyful life will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, GA.
