Dalton, Georgia - Eddie Brooker, age 65, of Cohutta, Georgia, passed away on August 5, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Sarah Brooker of Dalton; nephew, Adam Cobble of Dalton; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, James and Marie Jordan.

Eddie was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with his sons. He had a passion for Georgia football, hunting, fishing, and valued time with friends, especially in the North Georgia Mountains and at Lake Chatuge.

A 1978 graduate of Northwest High School, Eddie continued his education at Young Harris College, where he formed lasting friendships with his Phi Chi fraternity brothers.

He later attended the University of Georgia, earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics. Throughout his life, he was an active member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church, where his faith was nurtured. Eddie served on the board of Cherokee Boys Estates and was a dedicated member of Kiwanis, where he flipped many pancakes on early Saturday mornings.

Beginning his career at North Georgia Toyota in 1983, Eddie made significant contributions over more than four decades, supporting the dealership through numerous changes including renovation, technological advancement, and customer growth. Under his leadership, the dealership received recognition from the community, exemplified by their "Oh Yes We Can" philosophy.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 30 years, Tanya Brooker; sons, Blake and Ben Brooker; sisters, Gena (Jim) Kinnamon and Mara (Dan) Cobble; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob (Janet) Brooker and Allen (Dawn) Brooker; father-in law, Ron Fauscette; and sisters-in-law, Julie (David) Kubin; Teresa (Rod) Vice; Jennifer Fauscette; Erick (Kataryna) Fauscette; several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.

A memorial service will be held at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church on Tuesday, August 11, 2025, at 3:00 PM with Rev. Chris Mullis and Josh Brooker officiating and Greg Epps, Bill Blackwood, Stuart Milar, Chris Smith, Richard Shook, and Shane Bingham serving as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the service time at 3:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Eddie's memory be made to Dalton Greater Works, PO Box 6, Dalton, GA 30722 or Pleasant Grove Methodist Church, 2701 Cleveland Highway, Dalton, GA 30721.
