Tunnel Hill, GA - Cecil "Pete" Roberson, age 86, of Tunnel Hill, GA, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026, at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Brenda Weaver Roberson; parents, Hillard and Maude Roberson; brothers, James Roberson and Joe Roberson; and his sisters, Doris Smith and Roma Lee Pilcher.

Pete was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served his country in Baumholder, Germany as a shovel crane operator in the Engineering Division of the United States Army. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs. Pete was a graduate of Westside High School and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Kelly Roberson; daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Wayne Millsaps, and Kerri and Raymond Hobbs; grandchildren, Hunter (Sara) Hobbs, and Trever (Lily) Hobbs; sister, Linda Pickens; nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Timmy Roberson and Bro. Larry Anderson officiating.

Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
