Catherine Jones Hayes, age 89 of Dalton, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Wooddale Health and Rehabilitation.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Hayes; mother, Myrtle Fowler; father, Carter Jones; brother, Charles Fowler; sister-in-law, Evelyn Talley: and son-in-law, Cliff Shugart.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Annette Hayes; daughters and son-in-law, Barbara Shugart and Virginia and Robert Walker; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edd and Barbara Jones and Frank and Carolyn Jones; sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris and Gene Lanier and Melissa and Randy Hunter; sister-in-law, Eva Loughridge; grandchildren, Shane (Sandy) Chiado, Michael Hayes, and David (Kaycie) Hayes; one great-grandchild; two great-great-grandchildren, and nieces.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Catherine Hayes will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from Grove Level Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Bridges officiating. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Grove Level Baptist Church.
