Carolyn Teresa Coker, age 60 of Chatsworth, passed away at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 5th 2021 in CHI Memorial. Teresa was a loving mother, a pillar of the community, and compassionate friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her son, Terry Dewayne Coker; parents Opal & Lee Yarborough; in-laws Odell & Frances Coker; special cousins Freddy Melville and Red Tedmore; great-grandparents Harper & Nelly Yarborough and great-granny Kathleen Rackly; and special pets Pepper, Casper, Scarlett & Nookie, Ranger & Inky.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Clifford Odell Coker; son Steven Daniel Coker; and special daughter Tammy Marie Miller. Also surviving are sisters Wendy Grant and Candace Goff of Chattanooga and Judy Morrison of Ringgold; brother Steven Yarborough of Ringgold; special nieces and nephew Haley Grant and Heather Grant of Myrtle Beach, SC, Tyler Goff of Chattanooga, and Louise McGill of Chatsworth. Other survivors include special friends Sheila & Sammy Cagle, the Georgia Rhythm Band, special mother, Nevada Cofer; and all her friends from the Pumpkin Patch.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Teresa Coker will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 from the chapel of Jones Funeral Home in Chatsworth. Burial will follow in Maranatha Cemetery.
