Dalton, Georgia - Carolyn Ann Foster, age 87, of Dalton, GA, met Jesus face to face on Sunday, December 28, 2025. She courageously and without complaint battled the disease Progressive Supranuclear Palsy for 2 ½ years. She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Zela Foster and brother Bob Foster. She is survived by her brother Norman Foster and wife Elaine Foster and brother Alan Foster and several nieces and nephews. Carolyn was a lifelong educator having taught in Rockmart, GA, Japan, and Dalton High School. She was an avid tennis and golf player with matching outfits and tennis shoes. She was a lifelong and faithful member of Eastside Baptist Church until her health began to fail.
The family would like to thank the staff of Amedisys Hospice and Georgia Hospice Care for their time and care. And with grateful hearts and much appreciation, we thank the caregivers of The Legit Tender Loving Caregivers. These ladies ministered to her with love and dignity and truly were the hands and feet of Jesus.
The funeral will be held at Love Funeral Home on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at 2pm.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Carolyn's memory to Eastside Baptist Church (913 E Morris St, Dalton, GA 30721).
