Calvin Clinton Davenport
Mr. Calvin Clinton Davenport age 86 of Chatsworth, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019 at his residence.
Clinton was a member of Mtn. View Baptist Church; he loved fishing, working puzzles and doing word searches.
Mr. Davenport was preceded in death by his parents, Bartow and Ollie Kisselburg Davenport; first wife, Mary Opal Brooks Davenport; a daughter, Teresa Davenport Williams; siblings, Mildred Davenport, Helen Plemmons, Glynn Bandy, Nellie Dunn, Joyce Saylors, CB Davenport, William "Boss" Davenport, Hall Davenport, and Walter Davenport.
Survivors include wife Shirlene Rymer Davenport of Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Randy Greeson and Brenda and Ronnie Greeson -all of Chatsworth; step-sons and spouses, Michael and Tracey Vineyard and Mitchell and Michelle Vineyard -all of Chatsworth; step-daughter and spouse, Pam and Kevin Davis of Chatsworth; brother and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Ann Davenport and Inez Davenport -all of Chatsworth; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Davenport will be held Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Mtn. View Baptist Church with Rev. Crafton Dover, Rev. Randy Jackson, and Rev. Robby Chastain officiating. Interment will follow in the Center Valley Cemetery with Military Honors by the American Legion Post 167 of Chatsworth.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.at the Peeples Funeral Home.
