Chatsworth, Georgia - Brenda Lea Phillips Burgess Bowen, age 75 of Chatsworth, departed this life on Tuesday, December 15th 2020 the home of her daughter and son-in-law.

She was born on August 4, 1945 to the late Mr. H. Greenie and Evelyn (Dill) Phillips.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bowen; son, Carlton Burgess, brothers, James and Raymond Phillips, sisters, Ruth Young and Carol Whitener; brother-in-law, H. V. Young and Charles Whitener.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marchelle Burgess and Larry Flood; son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Brooke Bowen; sister-in-law Dorothy Phillips; grandchildren, Bishop Nathan and Amber Headrick , Kristin and Courtney Brown, Tapanga, Logan and Brendan Bowen, Carrie Benson, Melanie Mayton, Allen and Lauren Flood; great-grandchildren Parker and Zachary Benson, Landon Stover, Rylan and Brooklyn Mayton, Logan and Corbin Brown, Kaylee, Hayden and Kinslee Flood, Hayley and Landon Burton, Malaki and Phoenix Wyatt; special cousins Oveda and George Jones, Rosa Lee and James Stewart; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Brenda Bowen will be 1:00 pm Friday, December 18th 2020 from the Chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Chatsworth with Bishop Nathan Headrick and Rev. Tom Clark officiating. Burial will be in Sumach Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm December 17th 2020.
