Mrs. Bonnie Sue Shields Higdon, age 93, of Tennga, GA, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Quinton Memorial Health and Rehabilitation.

Bonnie Sue was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church and the post master in Cisco, GA until she retired at the age of 76.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Dean Higdon; her daughter, Connie Rombold Potts; her brother, Robert Shields; her parents, Jessie and Stanton Shields.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Sandra Higdon of Murray County, GA and Allen and Melinda Higdon of Polk County, TN; grandchildren, Stacie Higdon, Stanton (Tiffany) Higdon, Chris Ratcliff, Rebekah Rombold Varnell, Josh (Sydney) Higdon, Jacob (Tasha) Higdon, and Aiden Higdon; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Bonnie Sue Shields Higdon will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Ingram, Rev. Isaac Johns, and Rev. Blane Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Tennga, GA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
