Mr. Robert Lee "Bobby" Goswick, age 64, of Dalton, Georgia, passed Sunday evening August 18, 2019 at his home. Bobby was born December 1, 1954 in Dalton, Georgia, the only son of the late Troy and Martha Coogler Goswick. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Diane Manis.
Bobby was a 1973 graduate of Dalton High School and attended Truett McConnell University for two years. He was an electrician by trade and was a member of IBEW local #175. He was an ole hippy at heart and loved the outdoors. He loved Dalton High Football, motocross, trout fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his son, Jordan Neal Goswick; grandson, Leevi Goswick both of Dalton, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherrie and Wayne Metcalf of Tunnel Hill, GA, Annette and Kevin Burke of Dalton, GA; nieces and nephews, Shara and Craig Cook, Wesley and Esmerelda Manis, Farrah and Greg Westerholm, Krista and Michael Hicks and MaryBeth and Jason Jones; twenty-one great nieces and great-nephews; aunts and uncle, Doris and Delbert Ausmus and Evelyn Hunter; several cousins.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Robert Lee "Bobby" Goswick will be held Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. Noon at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Gary McPherson and Reverend Gary Lewis officiating. He will be laid to rest at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Kevin Burke, Wayne Metcalf, Hunter McClure, Jason Jones, Danny Goswick and Jordan Goswick serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.

What a special friend. Had not seen him since our Mt. Rachel days. He was our "Pew buddy," we always sat with us.

I am so sad to see this! I probably haven’t seen Bobby since high school, but we went all through school together and he was a big part of our”ole Fort Hill gang”!!!
