Bobbie Jean  Hicks
Bobbie Jean Hicks, 86, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away at her home on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, after a four-year battle with Parkinson's disease.
She was born in Cleveland, Tennessee, on May 12, 1933, to Charlie and Gertrude Hughes.
She is predeceased by her husband, Clyde Hicks; parents, Charlie and Gertrude Hughes; sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and James Gaddis; brother ,Colin Hughes; brothers-in-law, Clyde Fuller and Norman Tatum.
Bobbie really enjoyed working in her yard and her flowers, but more than anything she loved going to church. She loved and enjoyed her family tremendously.
Bobbie is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Brenda and Randy Guinn of Cohutta, Georgia, Lorene Hicks and Patricia Woody of Dalton, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Rickey and Debra Hicks of Dalton, Georgia; sisters Elizabeth Fuller of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Shirley Tatum of Dalton, Georgia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Mildred Hughes, George and Janice Hughes of Dalton, Georgia; five grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Bobbie Jean Hicks will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Burns officiating. Interment will be at United Memorial Gardens.
