DEACON BERNARD NORTH- Age, 56 of Dalton, Georgia passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021. He was born February 14, 1965 to his late father Charles Zel North, Sr. and mother Mae Pearl Jackson. He was a member of Vicks Apostolic Church and served as President of the Men's Department, Vice-President of the Usher Board, and Deacon Chairman. He worked for Shaw, Mohawk, and Holiday Retirement Community but his favorite pass time was fishing. He is preceded by his son Christopher North, father, and two brothers, Byron North and Charles Zel North, Jr.


He is survived by his loving family, wife, Alberta Elizabeth North; sons, Quinton (Cynthia) North, Brent West, and Christopher West; daughters, Bryanna (Vincent) Greenidge and Christen (Phillip) Towles; mother, Mae Pearl Jackson; 6 grandchildren; sisters, Roxanna (James) Jackson, Bonita North, and Brenda (James) North Clark; brothers, Braxton (Deanna) Jackson and Diamond (Alissha) Sykes; special aunt, Joyce Montgomery; aunt, Carolyn Vinson; uncles, William "Peter" (Denise) Jackson and Cecil (Gail) Jackson; sisters-in-law, Shae North, Vicki Curd, and Ramona (Joseph) Robb; brothers-in-law, Richard (June) Curd, Jr. and James (Sherry) Ward; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.


Following the guidelines of COVID-19, the family is enforcing that all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.


Funeral Service will be Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Elder Detria Smith as Eulogist. Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 6:00 - 7:00 P.M. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc.
