Dalton, Georgia - Mrs. Barbara Ann Roberts, age 75, beloved wife of the late Leon Edward Roberts former

residents of Ailey, passed away on Wednesday morning, December 3, 2025 at the Hamiliton

Medical Center in Dalton, Georgia.

Born in McRae, she is one of four children born to the late Dan Belvin Dykes and Lucindy Hulett

Dykes. She moved to Vidalia in the mid 1980s where she worked for Oxford Industries. In the

mid 1990;s she moved to the Dalton / Chatsworth area of North Georgia where she worked

with Alltel Telephone and Shirikai Telephone Company in Dalton.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her stepfather, Bill Gillis, a

son in law, Dewayne Robertson, a brother Danny Dykes, a sister, Kathy Dykes and an infant

grandson, Christopher Lane Roberson.

Mrs. Roberts leaves behind, her children, Shelia Adams (Tim), Lyons, GA, Robert Roberson

(Amy), Lyons, GA, Samantha Garland (Josh), Ranger, GA, Nicole (Nikki), Robertson, Dalton, GA, a

brother, Gary Dykes (Becky), Tarrytown, GA, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and

several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025 in the Williams

Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with her cousin, Pastor Alvin Lewis officiating.

Her family received friends on Thursday at Sammons Funeral Home from 2:00 o'clock p.m. until

the hour of service.

Mrs. Roberts was laid to rest, beside her husband in the Nabb Cemetery, in the Bear Creek

Community.
