Annie Ruth Souther Obituary

Dalton, Georgia - Annie Ruth Souther, age 86, of Dalton, passed away Monday,

October 7, 2024 at Quinton Healthcare.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Waymon B. "Shorty" Souther; son, Mark Souther; parents, Wrilon and Esther Martin; sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Jim Merrit; and brother, Wrilon "Butch" Martin Jr.

She was a member of Rock Bridge Community Church.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and René Souther, and Mitch and Kristy Souther, all of Dalton; sister-in-law, Marcia Martin of Senaca, SC; grandchildren, Amber and Cheryl Kittle, Michael Souther Jr., Monica and Kyle Edgerton, Elly Souther, and Riley Souther; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Belvia, and Baila Edgerton; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Matt Evans officiating.

Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted or in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Rock Bridge Community Church.
