MS. ANNETTE RHODES - AGE 76, - Of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022. She was born on July 09, 1946 to the late Claude Rhodes and Martha Lee Smith Rhodes. She was a member of Christ Community Church and a former member of St. James Overcoming Church of God. Annette graduated from Emery Street High School and retired from Dalton Public Schools in the Culinary Department. She formerly worked for Virginia and Bill Schneider. She was preceded by her son, Kelvis LeBron Rhodes, dear companion, Ronald Bimage, stepmother, Melve Rhodes, sisters, Anna Ellison, Fannie Macon, Virginia Murray, brothers, Jackie Rhodes, and Bobby Hinton.
She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Maria (Herman) O'Neal; son, Carlos Rhodes; two sisters, Claudia Rhodes, Josie (Willie) Powell; ten grandchildren, Koquesta (Chris) Cochran, LeBron (Brittany) Stokes, Kenneth (finacé Janitza) Stokes, Kyara Massey, Kelvis Rhodes, Jr., Lagaya Stokes, Carlos Rhodes, Jr., David Arroyo, Bryson Hines, Gracie Hines; great grandchildren, Kaichelynn, Kairi, Kehrysli, Jereyon, Jaralyne, Kinslee, LeBron Jr. and Jaxon; special cousins, Sandra Johnson, and Juanita Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; special friend, Candy Gill; other relatives and friends.
Homegoing Celebration for Annette Rhodes will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 12:00 noon at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chuck Harris as Eulogist, Bishop Dr. Nicky Paul Starling, and Pastor David Thomas, officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 A. M. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 - 7:00 P. M. Interment, West Hill Cemetery.
