Dalton, GA - Anna Lee Chadwick Lowe, 98, of Varnell, GA, passed away June 22, 2025.

Anna Lee was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend of 77 years, Ralph Lowe; her son, Lloyd Lowe; daughter, Rhonda Swinford; parents, Cicero and Dora Chadwick; siblings, Clara (Charlie) Shook, Johnnie (Lee) Hill, Harry (Francis) Chadwick, Sue (Gene) Warnack, Mae Pettit, Francis Walker; and grandson, Jacob Lowe.

She is survived by her son, Richard (Suzanne) Lowe; daughter-in-law, Janice Lowe; grandchildren, Shane Holden, Josh (Valery) Lowe, Kevin Swinford, Jeremy (Lacey) Lowe, Michael (Jennifer) Swinford; great-grandchildren, Nathan Holden, Mary Beth Lowe, Anna Grace Lowe, Jailynn Swinford, and Sidney Lowe. Additionally, she is survived by step-grandchildren, Heather (Allen) Kilgore, and step-great-grandchildren, Jacob Kilgore and Tanner Kilgore.

Anna Lee spent most of her life in Varnell, where she met and married Ralph at the age of 17. She dedicated her early years to raising their three children and held several jobs, including serving as the cafeteria manager at Varnell Elementary School. In the 1960s, she and Ralph moved to Rome, GA, where they owned and operated the Union 76 - Lowe Oil Company until the 1980s. The couple retired at age 55 and returned to Varnell, where they built their dream home and purchased their family farm. They spent their days together raising livestock, gardening, and enjoying time with their grandsons and great-grandchildren.

The farm became a beloved gathering place, and "Nanny" was known for her unmatched ability to cook and bake anything for her family. She loved having them gathered around the table, sharing stories, laughter, and making memories. She had a special gift for turning her house into a warm, welcoming home for everyone she loved.

Throughout their 77 years together, Anna Lee and Ralph remained devoted to their Christian faith and were active members of several churches throughout their marriage.

The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A private family burial will follow.
