Alfred Bulon "A.B." "Spanky" Ownbey, 66, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016.
He was born Jan. 8, 1949.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvan and Evelyn Ownbey, and a brother, David Ownbey.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Vickie Ownbey of Dalton; son, Donnie Ownbey; daughter and son-in-law, Latonya and Clarence Powell of Varnell; brother, Danny Ownbey of Chatsworth; sisters and brother-in-law, Kathy Cameron of Chatsworth, Mary and Huey Joiner of Dalton, Jody Matthews of Dalton; grandchildren, Derrick Grissom, Ryan Powell, Elise Willenborg; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral to celebrate the life of Alfred Bulon Ownbey "A.B." "Spanky" will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Interment will be at Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends for visitation today from 5 to 9 p.m.
