William Wesley Curtiss II, 75, of Dalton, departed this life Saturday, June 3, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. William was born on March 12, 1942, in Washington, D.C., a son to the late William and Amie Williams Curtiss. He was also preceded by a son, Michael Gene Curtiss. He proudly served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by daughters, Carrie Carson of Dalton and Teresa Willson of Florida; son, William Willson Herrera of Acworth; brothers, Charles "Bob" Curtiss of Alaska, Henry of East Ridge, Tenn., and George Curtiss of Virginia. He had six grandchildren, Joseph Curtiss, Jaquenette Willson, William Willson, Andrew Herrera, Sadie Herrera, Wesley Nicole Willson, Oscar and Julian Childs and Owen and Jaxson Skidmore.
Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mr. William Wesley Curtiss II will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post No. 112. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
