Mr. Samuel Fenn Little, 80, of Dalton, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at his residence.
He was the son of the late William and Katherine Little, and was preceded in death by his wife of more than 57 years, Frances Morgan Little.
Sam was a graduate of the University of Georgia Law School, was on the State Bar of Georgia Board of Governors, vice president of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, had been practicing law in Dalton for more than 51 years, and was most recently a partner with the Little, Bates, Kelehear and Toland Law Firm. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of Dalton First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his son, Samuel Fenn Little Jr. (Ruth) of Atlanta; daughters, Elizabeth Little Hardaway (Bob) of Dalton and Marianna Little King (Todd) of Atlanta; brother and sister-in-law, William Harmon Little and Joy Little of Killen, Ala.; sister-in-law, George Anna Watson of Rockmart; grandchildren, Camden Hardaway, Robert Hardaway, Heath Hardaway, Sam King, Huntley King, Emily Little and Ruby Little; nieces and nephews.
Services will be today at noon at Dalton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tommy Willingham officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall.
Burial was on Tuesday in Rose Hill Cemetery in Rockmart with the Rev. Jeanette Dickson officiating.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Dalton First United Methodist Church, 500 N. Thornton Ave., Dalton, GA 30720.
