Myrtle Viola Williams, 94, of Dalton, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017.
She was born on Feb. 1, 1923.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Williams; sons, Jerry Williams and John Williams; parents, Claude and Pearl Chambers; brothers, Joseph Alexander Chambers, Mitchell Chambers, Walter Chambers and Benny Carl Chambers; sisters, Catherine Dunn, Ethel Mae Chambers Carr and Pearly Ruth Chambers Painter.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Cecil Williams of Cohutta and Richard Williams of Dalton; brothers, Billy Ray Chambers of Alabama, Frank M. Chambers of Ringgold and Ronald Leon Chambers of Chatsworth; sister and brother-in-law, Joann and Robert Brummit of Ringgold; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A funeral to celebrate the life of Myrtle Viola Williams is Friday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Cecil Williams officiating. Interment will be at Nellie Head Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends for visitation today from 5 to 9 p.m.
