Marquis's Story

Mr. Marquis Steffon Perry, 20, of Dalton, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017, from an automobile accident.
He was of the Baptist faith. He was a graduate of Morris Innovative High School. His hobbies included basketball, wrestling and loved anything with wheels. He was last employed at Kroger.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul Perry.
His survivors are his loving parents, Andrew and Kimberly Hamrick Perry of Dalton; grandparents, Freeman and Jennie Hamrick of Calhoun, Sybil Dockery; aunt, Jannie (Shannon) Terry of Dalton; uncles, Tony Hamrick of Calhoun, Steven (Yolanda) Perry, Derek (Dejah) Perry, Randy Dockery and Tommy Dockery of Dalton; a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
The service to celebrate the life of Marquis Stephon Perry is Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Mount Ridge Baptist Church, 1401 M.L.K. Jr. Blvd., Dalton, with Dr. Jerry Jones Sr. as eulogist and other ministers officiating.
The family will receive friends today after noon at Willis Funeral Home and at the church one hour before the funeral.
Interment will be held at West Hill Cemetery.
