Lou Jean's Story
Lou Jean Williams, age 84, of Tunnel Hill, born December 6, 1932, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at her home.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John H. Pop Williams; parents, Dewey and Letha Stanley; brothers, Bill Stanley and Richard Stanley.
Lou Jean a Dalton High graduate class of 1949. She was the first woman Dixie Boys Baseball District director, a loving housewife and mother to more than just her own children.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law; Marleta and Windle Patterson of Dalton, Michele Williams of Dalton; two sons and daughter-in-law, Rick and Jill Williams of Dalton, Stan Williams of Tunnel Hill; grandchildren, Chris and Mae Williams, Cher and Michael Kinsey, Drew Patterson; great-grandchildren, Maegan Williams, Bryson Williams, Trinity Cline, Jada Kinsey, Jenna Kinsey; several nieces and nephews; and her loving pet Khandi;
The family will receive friends at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm
The Funeral service for Mrs. Williams will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Chris Williams and Bryson Williams speaking.
