Glenn H. Bryant, age 95, of Dalton, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Lora Bryant; brother, Loyd Bryant.
Mr. Bryant was a member of Deep Springs Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in New Guinea, Southern Philippines and Luzon. He received the Good Conduct, Bronze Arrowhead, Victory medals as well as the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 bronze star.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Bryant of the residence, two daughters and a son-in-law, Rhonda and Gerald Ogle and Glenda Longwith, all of Dalton; sister-in-law, Irene Bryant of Dalton; grandchildren, Terri Spivey Tallent, Jennifer Ogle Helms and Jordan Ogle; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Emma Helms, Rylee Tallent, Finnley Ogle; step-great-grandchildren, Danielle Tallent, Ricky Tallant; step-great-great-grandchildren, Kyleigh and Harper Morgan; nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Jones, Rev. Randy Postell and Rev. Joe Spann officiating.
Burial will be in Deep Springs Cemetery. Military Honors will be rendered by the American Legion Post #112.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m.
