David C. Clay, 65, husband of Kathleen A. Clay, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017, at his home in Georgetown, Ky. Born in Trenton, Mich., he was the son of the late Paul Dean and Estella B. Clay.
David was a veteran of the United States Air Force, group leader with Toyota (TMMK) and an agent with Rector Hayden Realtors. He was a lifelong member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly in Dalton. He cherished spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed playing golf.
In addition to his wife of 44 years, he is survived by his children, David A. (KaNetta) Clay of Georgetown, Ky., Robert C. Clay of Colorado Springs, Colo., CaLandon D. (Heather) Clay of Dalton, Misty B. Clay, Preston T. (Melissa) Clay and Kelly M. Clay, all of Georgetown, Ky.; brothers and sisters, Bobby D. Clay of Ontario, Canada, R. Paulett Clay of Rocky Face, S. Dale (Ramona) Clay of Foley, Ala., Rodney D. (Pat) Clay of Bay Minette, Ala., Donna K. (Tom) Bein of Elberta, Ala., and Deanna Clay of Dalton; as well as 17 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Church of God of the Union Assembly in Dalton with burial to follow at Serenity Hills Memorial Park, Chatsworth.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Love Funeral Home in Dalton.
