Mr. Bryan Sharpe, 81, of Dalton, traveled home to be with the Lord on Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at his residence surrounded by family.
Mr. Sharpe was born in Clarksville, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sharpe and Besse Hemphill.
Bryan worked in the tufted textile industry for 30 years and retired from the log home construction business. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee, past member of Sumach Lodge No. 55, served in the United States Army (1955), and was a past member of Dalton Golf and Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (Wheat) Sharpe; children, Joe and Leigh Sharpe of Lexington, Ky., and Allison and Peter Villarreal of Huntsville, Ala.; grandsons, Cody and Jake Villarreal of Hunstville, Ala.; and stepdaughter, Melinda and Marshall Jones.
Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until 3 p.m. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Dudley from ChristChurch Presbyterian Church officiating.
The family asks that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
