Violet (GG) Sager Gardner, 92, of Cohutta, passed away July 25, 2017, at her home.
Mrs. Gardner lived in Mobile, Ala., for many years before moving to Cohutta 23 years ago.
She was a member of Dug Gap Baptist Church in Dalton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard (Jenk) Gardner; son-in-law, Chuck Willis; and sister, Hilda Yelverton.
Survivors are her daughter, Gail Willis, Chattanooga, Tenn.; son, Mike Gardner, Cohutta; three grandchildren, Tammy (Randy) Gribble, Chattanooga, Tenn., Vickie (Rich) Towery, Ringgold, and David (Tracy) Brown, Dallas; seven great-grandchildren, Amanda Thompson, Abbie Blake, Kevin Guffey, Kraig Guffey, Katie Moreland, Kody Brown and Kassie Brown; 13 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Scott Parrish and the Rev. Sterling Jetton officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. CST at Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile, Ala.
