Rev. Raymond "Cotton"'s Story
Rev. Raymond "Cotton" Thomas Beavers, 74 of Crandall, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at his residence.
Rev. Raymond "Cotton" Thomas Beavers was a member of Shining Light Baptist Church. During his 47 years of ministry he was blessed to be The Pastor of Cool Springs Baptist Church, Dewberry Baptist Church, Mountain Springs Baptist Church, and Gospelway Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Rosa Beavers; brothers, William Beavers, Junior Beavers, Hoyle Beavers, Bobby Beavers, and Kendall Beavers; sisters, Pauline Beavers and Marie Hardin;
Survivors include his loving wife, Sharon Beavers of Crandall; daughters and sons-in-law, Jill and Michael Rogers of Resaca, Amy and Jason Miller of Chatsworth; son, Ryan Scoggins of Chatsworth; brother and sisters-in law, Jerry and Doris Beavers, Maxine Beavers, Judy Beavers all of Chatsworth; sister, Patricia Jefferson of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Owen and Bree Rogers, Gage and Hudson Miller; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Randall and Vickie Sales, Terry and Shirley Sales, Chris Sales all of Chatsworth; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Delana and Brad Gilchrist of Calhoun; special caregiver, Brandi Mathis; extended family also survives.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Rev. Raymond "Cotton" Thomas Beavers will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter Hare officiating. Interment will follow in Eton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
