Mildred  Dreschel


Mildred Dreschel, age 90, of Tunnel Hill, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Hospice of Chattanooga. She was born in Chicago, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma Kampenga; her devoted husband, Donald Allen Dreschel; great-grandson, John Cade Jones; sister, Eleanor Labney; and brothers-in-law Walter Dreschel and Bill Pazdro.
She is survived by her children and their spouses; Ed & Ellen Dreschel of Ringgold, Rich & Susan Dreschel of Canton, Norma & James Burroughs and Chet Dreschel of Tunnel Hill. Also surviving are her 9 grandchildren Kelly, Tracy, Allen, Emily, Alissa, JT, Diana, Abby, and John and 11 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice & Herman Frieske; brother-in-law, Tom Labney; sister-in-law, Marie Dreschel; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mildred's family, faith, and church were the focus of her entire life and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service to honor the life of Mrs. Mildred Dreschel will be held Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Tunnel Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Jay Tenney officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to Tunnel Hill United Methodist Church at P.O. Box 146, Tunnel Hill, Georgia.

One of my "other" mothers. Oh, how I loved this lady. She was my first Sunday school teacher. I remember her & my mother traveling to Chicago together. Sweet kind and precious lady. She is going to be deeply missed. Praying for the family. Love each one of you very much.
