Mike Crow, 60, of Dalton, passed away Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017, at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lamar Crow.
Mike grew up in the Pleasant Grove community. He loved playing golf and football growing up and was a big supporter of Dalton Parks and Recreation. He loved teaching kids the basics of baseball and football. Mike was also a big fan of the Dalton State College Roadrunners. He loved NASCAR, and Dale Earnhardt was one of his favorites. He was a born-again Christian. He believed in being fair and that every person should be treated equal.
Survivors include his mother, Flora Crow of Dalton; brothers and a sister-in-law, the Rev. Mitchell and Darlene Crow of Calhoun and Mark Crow of San Francisco, Calif.; and nephew, Tye Crow of Calhoun.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitchell Crow officiating. Burial will be at Poplar Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 until 9 p.m. The family would like to send special thanks to Hamilton Home Health Care for their loving care and kindness for the past few years.
