Lou Johnson, 78, of Dalton, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017, at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was the founder of Johnson's Tire and Turbo Tire Centers in Dalton. He loved to ride motorcycles, drive his Corvette and play golf, but most importantly he loved his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David and Kym Johnson of Dalton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Edward Lopez of Tulsa, Okla., Linda and Bob Monfette of Dalton, and Cindy Johnson and Albert Chan of Dalton; two sisters, Hildred Harper of Norwood and Mildred Webb of Greensboro; brother, Lee Johnson of Claxton; five grandchildren, Christopher Marioni, Anthony Marioni, Whitney Anderson, Hayden Monfette and Jeff Black; three great-grandchildren, Chase Marioni, Greyson Anderson and Emmi Lou Anderson; many nieces and nephews.
The visitation service to honor Mr. Johnson will be Thursday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home.
